Tapping for saving  your dream body/soul… 


Have you ever thought of using your dreams  as a source of transformational tapping insights? That is what we did in my recent teleclass on
Spiritual Dreamwork.

Lesley had a dream with this powerful image in it:

..Then, on the wall directly in front of me, I start to see the concrete cracking.   As I keep looking, a huge fierce looking fish starts breaking through the concrete wall into the storage room.  It is huge and has sharp blade like steel teeth cutting through the concrete.

I’m horrified.  I’ve never seen anything like it.   It’s a grey color and about 12 inches or so around and it’s just cutting through the concrete with its teeth.   As more of it comes through, I notice there are red rings (the color of dried blood) that circle around the fish and hanging off of the rings are the worms.

Then as I look again at its mouth I see a beautiful little kitten, still alive in its mouth with a precious curious look.   The fish spits it out.  I’m totally horrified.  I wonder how the kitten can be alive, but then my attention is directed to another wall.

I see more concrete cracks coming and know that more of those fish are breaking through.  I look back at the first fish and it seems about half way through the wall and the thought runs through my mind that I need to get back down the hall way to my parents and get out of here.  The thought goes through me that those fish are going to eat us alive . . .

And then my alarm rings!!!  As I wake up, I still have the picture and feelings of the dream clearly in my mind, certain that there’s a message in here for me!

We had an interesting, intuitive tapping conversation about this dream in the class, that led to revelations into how Lesley thinks about who she is.

Lesley noticed that her attention had been riveted on the terrifying horrifying fish, and on the need to get her parents out of there.  She realized that this had been her life story, to focus on the dangerous scary aspects of her life growing up in her family.  They were going to eat her alive!  But she had no thought for herself.  Her attention was all on the need to rescue her parents.

Yet the dream showed that the fish had delivered this precious, radiant curious kitten to her, alive.  We became aware that this image was what the dream wanted Lesley to put her attention on.  It was herself, the living kitten, who needed her care!

Dave, a member of the class, wrote this poem afterwards:

Save the Kitten

The dream was so real !
I had to get out of there
and save the shining kitten
from those  aweful,
closing-in dangers.

Turns out the innocent, bright kitty
was, is, my soul,
my inner truth.
I had been out of touch with
my essence.
Busy tidying things up and
putting out fires.  I had
lost connection with my body.

Now I know my principle purpose:
focus on my beautiful inner truth;
to save the kitty even though
I barely know how.

Kitty will know.
I just have to
pay attention to
my inner knowing.

And then Bonnie wrote her response to Dave’s poem.  I wanted to share what she said with you, and then turn it into a tapping routine that you might find helpful.

Bonnie says:

I just read David’s poem, very powerful. It shows how we are very interconnected.

Of late I have had a difficult time focusing on anything for very long, be it reading a book or an article or just completing simple task around the house. I continue to jump from one thing to another then realizing several jumps later that I need to complete something 5 jumps earlier.

It finally dawned on me today how every session is like borrowing benefits. I joined late today and wanted to quit sooner than later but my intuition wanted me to stick with the class.

At the end when you were making statements the words, “Forbidden to question” struck me. I have been dealing with some family issues for which I was trying to be protective for myself and the adult child. He didn’t want to have anything to do with my questions. I would always get a terse response without an answer. I think I was trying to feel involved with my child, his life and wanting to feel that he might have some feelings of love for me as his parent.

I was trying to manifest a feeling of belonging. I feel rejected by life and my 4 children. I have let other people’s voice be the YES and my voice is the NO. I have made their negative opinion of me be the echo I manifest in my head.

I seek love from others in multiple ways but seem to forbid myself to love myself. I have listened to my negative voice of fear trying to keep the vibrations of health and well-being covered up with my bucket. The bucket keeps that negative garbage trapped. If there is no transmission then I can wallow in self pity.

It is time to give birth to new relationships, primarily with myself and release valued relationships with children. I chose to transform my thinking with love and love myself. I choose to let go of my children. I choose to overcome sorrows from the past. I choose to know that letting go of my children is not me abandoning them but my choosing to let go of my past abandonment issues. I am committed to learning to communicate with myself and Love myself.

I choose to silently extend love and receive love. This simple thought is very soothing and peaceful.

Generally when we begin a stream of inner self talk about “how awful that experience was,” we find ourselves beginning to re-associate into all the terrible memories that this time reminds us of, and all that pain, until we are caught in a negative, painful eddy in the current of our lives. Now we are truly depressed and angry and sad.

Get in the habit of catching yourself before you get drawn into that eddy.

The tapping that follows is a great strategy for creating a tapping session for yourself.

1.    First write out a stream-of-consciousness account of all your feelings, memories and thoughts about an issue.
2.    Next, create a tapping routine for yourself like I did with Bonnie’s thoughts below.
3.    Now, TAP!

The tapping below is obviously based on Bonnie’s thoughts, but her experience is common to many of us, so you can borrow your own benefits from it.  Add in your own thoughts and memories as they arise while you tap.

*Even though the words, “Forbidden to question” struck me, I accept my self anyway, and I want to find a way to be open to all the questions…I want to hold these words in a different way…maybe I can be curious like the kitten…. I wonder…(fill in with what comes to you)

Keep tapping through the points as you talk to yourself in a stream of consciousness about the thoughts, memories and feelings that these statements bring up in you.

~Now, tap on your chest while you create a strong image of the You who is good at sending and receiving love, and feeling the soothing harmony.

~Add rich and beautiful colors, add soothing and energizing sounds of music or nature.

~Think of some delicious words that describe the feelings that come to you when you extend and receive love.

~Create a phrase that describes this new you.

~Spend some time seeing yourself extending and receiving love.

~Be inside yourself and feel yourself extending and receiving love.

~Recognize that this is who you are!

~Now, stand in an imaginary sphere of light, and fill this sphere with this image of you and all the sounds and words and colors.

~Feel all this on the inside.

~Feel it fill your energy field around you.

~Feel thankful for the You inside who is willing and open to choosing words and behaviors that will continue to manifest this sense of soothing peaceful harmony, as much as possible (be easy with your self) …no matter what…

~Pat yourself on the back!  (Really!)


You are beginning to save the kitten,that precious radiant being in you, still alive!, who deserves your attention. Something in your past that looked really scary distracted you from noticing that this essence of you has been there all the time.  It needs care and feeding now. Tapping will help!
